Go-ahead for 'terrific' industrial park plan
A “game-changing” North East industrial development has received approval.
Hedley Planning has secured the go-ahead from Sunderland City Council on behalf of Town End Farm Partnership for an 80,000sq metre industrial scheme at the International Advanced Manufacturing Park (IAMP).
Bosses say the venture will add three industrial units to the park, based on the outskirts of Sunderland.
Alex Franklin, Hedley Planning associate director, said: “There’s no doubt IAMP is a real game-changer for the North East and its modern industries, driving investment, supporting jobs and creating long term prosperity.
“This latest planning approval will see the go-ahead for another important phase in the park’s development.”
Peter Razaq, Town End Farm Partnership managing director, added: “This is a terrific scheme that will meet the strong demand for high quality industrial units in important North East locations and support the economic growth of local businesses.
“We are delighted with the outcome of the planning committee.”
