Flooring firm on a roll with new store opening
A North East-headquartered national flooring retailer has expanded.
Flooring Superstore has opened a base in Bishop Auckland.
Bosses say the £200,000 Abraham Retail Park investment has created three jobs.
The 3600sq ft site stands just a mile away from the company’s national headquarters, and joins existing North East outlets in Stockton, Newcastle and Birtley.
Its opening means Flooring Superstore now operates a 45-strong national store portfolio, which includes a recently opened base in Cannock, Staffordshire.
Greig Anderson, national sales manager, said: “We are delighted to open a new store on our doorstep, and in such a thriving retail area.
“It was all about waiting for the right opportunity and our patience has been rewarded with this unit, which is in a fantastic location with lots of footfall.
“As a North East-based company, it’s always nice to come home.”
Flooring Superstore’s outlets stretch from Glasgow in the north to Plymouth in the south, and from Norwich in the east to Swansea in the west.
