Castle Green Homes welcomes new commercial manager

Castle Green Homes has appointed Peter Wilkinson as its new commercial manager, based at its Preston Brook office.

Peter joins following a 20-year tenure at Redrow, where he progressed from trainee quantity surveyor to commercial manager. 

He was drawn to Castle Green’s high-quality product and ambitious growth plans.

Peter said: “It’s a company I’m proud to work for. 

“I was brought in to manage the commercial department in the North West. 

“My role will include providing commercial input into land bids, partnership agreements, procuring subcontractors and supplier agreements. 

“We have quite a diverse team, including some people in the early stages of their careers who I’ll be supporting and sharing my experience with, along with providing leadership.

“As Castle Green looks to increase the number of completions year on year, part of my role is to ensure procedures are in place to help achieve those numbers.

“The housebuilding industry is very rewarding. 

“I didn’t go to university but went into a role with a mix of college and work-based training. There are lots of different routes to take including apprenticeships.

“The economy and the country need new homes to be built and to do that we need young professionals coming through the ranks so we can fulfil those targets.”

Since a 2020 management buyout, Castle Green has increased home completions by 155 per cent and turnover by 333 per cent. 

The company now aims to deliver over 600 homes across 15 sites this financial year, expanding into Greater Manchester, North Staffordshire and North Shropshire.
