Student secures prestigious apprenticeship
Middlesbrough College graduate Fin Duffy has landed a sought-after Level 4 apprenticeship with robotics and software firm Applied Integration after completing a T-Level in digital production, design & development.
The course’s 45-day work placement provided Fin with valuable industry experience, helping him transition into the workplace.
Despite early academic challenges, he achieved GCSEs in Maths and English with the support of dedicated tutors.
Fin said: “The work placement aspect of the T Level course was invaluable.
“It gave me real-world experience that I couldn't have gained in the classroom alone and helped me secure this amazing apprenticeship.”
“I fully recommend studying the T-Level digital production design & development.
“It provides a fantastic foundation for those looking for a career in software development.”
Samantha Smethurst, Middlesbrough College tutor, added: “Through his unwavering commitment to excellence, Fin overcame the challenges of exams in the T-Level digital production design & development programme.
“Despite the hurdles, his exceptional performance in industry-focused occupational specialism assessments highlighted his remarkable programming talent and true potential.
“His dedication not only redefined his academic journey but also laid a strong foundation for a promising future in the technology sector.”
