Avison Young strengthens Newcastle team
Global real estate advisor Avison Young has expanded its Newcastle office with the appointment of Kashaf Ali as senior quantity surveyor.
Kashaf joins from Turner and Townsend, bringing extensive experience in cost management across the commercial, residential, life sciences, education and healthcare sectors.
A graduate of Northumbria University and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, he will support major developments across the North East and beyond.
Kashaf said: “I am delighted to be joining the multifaceted Avison Young team in the delivery of high-profile developments across various sectors, both in region and beyond.
“The opportunity to engage in the many transformational projects that are reshaping the city is a truly exciting prospect; I look forward to collaborating with the team to drive these schemes to completion.”
Avison Young’s building and project consultancy team in Newcastle is currently overseeing projects valued at around £1 billion, including the regeneration of Pilgrim Street and large-scale office, logistics, leisure and residential schemes nationwide.
Gordon Hewling, principal and managing director at Avison Young, Newcastle, added: “This is a further key appointment for the expanding office and within our extremely busy building and project consultancy team.
“The office holds a strong position in the market, providing strategic real estate advice to both the public and private sectors.”
“We have a very healthy confirmed pipeline, which we see as key to attracting the best talent.
“Kashaf’s appointment represents a positive move to increase our resource to meet the demand going forward for a strong client base.”
