FDM Group appoints information security director
Global business and technology consultancy FDM Group has appointed Sawan Joshi as group director of information security.
In his new role, Sawan will lead the company’s governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) strategy, ensuring robust security and regulatory compliance.
His focus will include supply chain security, human resource risks, and regulatory adherence, strengthening FDM’s ability to support organisations in heavily regulated industries.
Sawan brings extensive expertise in cybersecurity and compliance, having founded TriStep.io, a platform simplifying ISO and cyber essentials certification.
He is also an author and thought leader, known for his work on career resilience in the information security sector.
Sawan said: “I am incredibly excited to be joining FDM Group, a company that truly stands out for its mission to drive growth and create opportunities for people.
“Britain has faced significant economic challenges since the 2008 financial crisis, but FDM is designed to help tackle these issues by offering employment to diverse groups, including ex-service personnel.
“This approach not only supports the economy but also demonstrates FDM’s commitment to being a people-focused organisation.
“I am thrilled to be part of this dynamic team.”
With cyber threats on the rise, Joshi’s appointment reinforces FDM Group’s commitment to delivering secure, high-quality consultancy services to clients worldwide.
Sheila Flavell, chief operating officer of FDM Group, added: “Security is at the heart of every business, and Sawan is a leading expert in this area.
“His deep expertise in governance, risk, and compliance will be invaluable as we continue to grow and support clients in highly regulated industries.
“We have complete confidence in his ability to strengthen our security framework and drive our commitment to excellence.”
