Vision Scotland appoints first CEO
Vision Scotland has announced a £5 million investment in a new state-of-the-art clinic in Glasgow alongside the appointment of Paul Clark as its first chief executive officer.
Paul joins the leading eye care provider with extensive healthcare management experience across NHS, BMI Healthcare and Aces.
He will oversee Vision Scotland’s continued growth, including the Glasgow expansion and the hiring of 30 new staff.
Paul said: “I am honoured to join Vision Scotland at this exciting time of expansion.
“Our new Glasgow facility will allow us to bring our expertise in eye care to even more patients across Scotland.”
The new clinic will offer cataract and glaucoma surgery, laser eye surgery and lens replacement, using cutting-edge technology such as Scotland’s first Schwind Amaris Laser.
With clinics already established in Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Galashiels and Stirling, Vision Scotland has restored vision for over 30,000 patients and continues to expand its services to meet growing demand.
Sanjay Mantry, co-founder of Vision Scotland, added: “Vision Scotland has seen a 50 per cent growth in staff over the last 12 months and as part of our overall strategic business plan we are building a leadership team who share myself and co-founder Dr Jonathan Ross appetite for business growth and service excellence.
“We wished to recruit a CEO who had a wealth of skill but who was also a dynamic leader.
“Paul has worked extensively in healthcare for many years and we were impressed by his experience and enthusiasm for the future of the company and the values we all share.
“I am very much looking forward to working with Paul to continue the journey of Vision Scotland.”
