The Tempus expands with luxury lakeside retreats

A Northumberland hospitality group is expanding its luxury accommodation with a new collection of lakeside cabins.

The Doxford Group has announced the launch of The Lake Cabins at The Tempus, eight stylish retreats overlooking a private lake on its Charlton Hall countryside estate in Chathill. 

Each cabin, designed for two guests, will feature a private terrace with scenic views, blending modern facilities with tranquillity.

Designed in collaboration with Jeffreys Interiors, the cabins, which are set to open in spring 2025, will complement the estate’s existing accommodation, bringing its total capacity to 100 guests. 

Visitors will also have access to The Orangery restaurant and bar at The Tempus for all-day dining.

This expansion marks the second phase of The Doxford Group’s development, following the 2023 opening of The Tempus hotel, bar and restaurant.
