Lifting the bar on fitness in Harrogate
A young entrepreneur is expanding her fitness business with a new gym in Pannal, Harrogate.
Former Leeds Beckett student Beth Johnson, 24, has invested £250,000 in Lift Club, a 3,000sq ft facility in Thirkill Park, featuring a fully equipped gym, six-bed Reformer Pilates studio and a relax-and-recovery area with a sauna and ice bath.
Beth said: “I wanted to provide an environment for total social health and wellbeing.
“I truly believe that by building a functional fitness base, we can lock in our future health.
“I set out to create a community where everyone can feel comfortable, achieve the fitness they want as well as enjoy a place to meet and relax.”
Originally launched in 2023, Lift Club had already outgrown its previous location at Harrogate West Business Park in Killinghall, prompting the move.
The new facility opens fully on February 17, with a pre-launch event offering free classes, health shakes and expert advice.
