Bracewell Stirling Consulting strengthens team

Scottish architectural practice Bracewell Stirling Consulting has expanded its team and moved to larger premises in Oban as it launches an enhanced master-planning service.

David Lawrie has been promoted to partner after joining the firm in 2024. 

Based in Tillicoultry, he will support the company’s strategic growth. 

The firm has also appointed Mark Hamilton as strategic design and master plan lead, bringing extensive experience from his time as an architectural director and university educator.

Mark said: “I am delighted to bring my extensive experience back to my roots as a passionate architect and urban designer.

Joining Mark and supporting him from the firm’s Oban office is Sarah McKenzie, new urban design and master planner. 

With a background in architecture and planning, she has worked on major projects across the UK, delivering positive planning outcomes for clients and communities.

Sarah added: “I am thrilled to bring my expertise in developing viable and inviting strategic masterplans to our range of clients. 

“My passion lies in crafting sustainable, inclusive and vibrant spaces that foster social interaction through thoughtful design. 

“I bring a range of experience working on mixed-use settlement expansions, leisure and tourism proposals and public realm improvements and I am excited to continue this with Bracewell Stirling.”

Bracewell Stirling, which recently became part of GEG Capital’s consultancy portfolio, has also relocated its Oban office to 8 High Street. 

With additional offices in Inverness and Tillicoultry, the firm is poised for further expansion as it approaches its centenary.
