rg+p Birmingham appoints associate director
Multi-disciplinary design firm rg+p has strengthened its Birmingham studio with the appointment of Andrew Frost as associate director.
Bringing over a decade of experience in the education, commercial and industrial sectors, Andrew will lead the firm’s quantity surveying team in the West Midlands.
Based at rg+p’s Temple Street office, he will oversee key projects, including educational schemes in Northampton and Notting Hill, as well as residential and high-rise developments across the region.
Alongside his new role, Andrew is an RICS APC assessor and a guest lecturer at Nottingham Trent University, supporting the next generation of surveyors.
Andrew said: “rg+p’s QS and PM team is certainly known as a leader in its field, so this role was an opportunity I didn’t want to miss.
“As recently reported, the firm has significantly increased its work in the education sector but has also diversified its residential portfolio to include more high-rise buildings and refurbishment projects.
“These are sectors where I expect to see real tangible growth over the next 12-18 months which was another reason I wanted to make the move and be part of the team delivering homes, schools and colleges for the next generation.
“The QS team in Birmingham has been growing steadily since launching approximately 16 months ago and has secured several long-term schemes across the West Midlands.
“This increased workload, coupled with local and national framework successes, means we are already recruiting for experienced QS or project managers so it’s an exciting time!”
Mitch Dale, rg+p’s QS/PM director, added: “Andrew has fitted in seamlessly with the team and is fast becoming a familiar face to many of our clients too.
“With extensive experience in key sectors and excellent mentoring skills, he was the ideal candidate, and we look forward to seeing his career thrive.”
