Experienced leader rejoins chapmanbdsp board
Building services consultancy chapmanbdsp has welcomed Brian Goldsmith back as board director to support its long-term growth strategy.
With 36 years in the construction industry, Brian previously spent 18 years at chapmanbdsp before moving on to leadership roles across the sector.
Now, he returns to oversee business operations, focusing on strategic planning, project management and innovation.
In his new role, Brian will work closely with design leaders, engineers and support teams to develop talent and enhance training across the firm.
A fellow of CIBSE and vice chair of its training and development panel, he will also strengthen the company’s training platform.
His appointment reflects chapmanbdsp’s commitment to growth and investment in its people as it continues to expand its expertise in building services engineering.
Brian said: “Since leaving chapmanbdsp 11 years ago I have been fortunate to have worked with some of the best sustainability thinkers and leaders from around the world whilst forging my own skills at the same time as a business leader.
“This opportunity allows me to take these skills and experiences and bring them back to chapmanbdsp.
“I will be working closely with the leadership team and designers to plan for a future where our impact on projects and society becomes more vital, as our reputation strengthens further.
“I am very much looking forward to working with past and new colleagues within the firm.”
Ray Upjohn, chief executive of chapmanbdsp, added: “Brian Goldsmith rejoining chapmanbdsp is a strategic hire for the business.
“His expertise in governance and operations will support our forthcoming period of dynamic growth in the UK and Middle East, further developing our robust systems as we continue to evolve.
“It’s great to have him back!”
