Walker Precision Engineering names new CEO
Glasgow-based aerospace and defence supplier Walker Precision Engineering has appointed George Adams as chief executive officer to lead its next phase of growth.
With four decades of experience in aerospace engineering and senior leadership roles at Rolls-Royce, GE, and MB Aerospace, George brings a proven track record in operational excellence and business expansion.
Backed by leading growth capital investor BGF, Walker has seen its order book triple in the past two years.
George’s appointment reinforces the company’s commitment to capitalising on new opportunities across the aerospace, defence and space sectors.
He said: “I am excited about the potential for growth within Walker, across our sites in Scotland, England and Poland.
“Making a difference to a local SME with over 45 years of heritage was a real attraction to joining the business.”
Chairman Nick Sanders added: “Given George’s proven experience in our industry and sectors, the business is well positioned to leverage this opportunity under his leadership.”
