Packaging One doubles team with cash backing
A family-run packaging firm is doubling its workforce after securing seven-figure support.
Packaging One says it will increase its team to 80 following NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland Invoice Finance backing.
Bosses say the funding will also support wider expansion at the business, which operates from a new 44,000sq ft base in Middlewich, near Crewe.
The business, run by husband-and-wife team Ian and Emma Chesworth, designs, makes and sells packaging that includes MediaWrap, which is used to protect trade-in and recycled mobile devices.
It recently secured a contract to supply MediaWrap to a global tech operator.
Director Ian said: “The expansion is a huge step in our growth and development.
“Not only is it good for our business, but we are proud to be able to contribute to our community by creating jobs and employing local people.”
Claire Morley, NatWest senior relationship manager, added: “We are thrilled to support Ian, Emma and the Packaging One family as they begin a new chapter in their business development.
“The deal is fantastic news for the business and wider community.”
