Building supplies firm expands into North East
A building trade supplies firm has expanded.
Duftons Plumbing & Heating Supplies has opened branches in County Durham and Thornaby, near Stockton.
The sites extend the company’s footprint to 14 bases and mark the first ventures beyond its Yorkshire heartland.
Its 7000sq ft County Durham branch, in Thinford, near Spennymoor, features a renewable energy centre, bathroom showroom and trade counter, with its 4500sq ft Thornaby site offering a bathroom showroom and trade counter.
They add to existing branches in Leeds, Beeston, Castleford, Halifax, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Barnsley, Bingley, Bradford, Thirsk and Gildersome.
Gavin Nesbitt, development manager, said: “This marks an exciting milestone in our growth, and we are excited to introduce our renewable energy centre to the region, as the market moves towards more sustainable heating solutions.”
Daniel Thackray, sales director, added: “It really is an exciting time as we expand beyond Yorkshire.
“With Gavin leading the venture, our future looks promising.”
