Engineer targets growth with senior reshuffle
An engineering firm is targeting global expansion after undergoing a management restructure.
Dyer Engineering has named Adam Leggett as its new managing director.
The company says the move is part of a five-year growth plan to boost overseas partnerships and bolster its 182-strong workforce by 35 per cent by 2030.
Bosses add it will build on turnaround efforts that have replaced a £1 million loss with a £2 million profit.
Adam replaces Richard Bradley, who has moved into an executive chair role at the County Durham company, which makes parts for the energy, defence, transport and process industries.
The reshuffle comes after Chris Stavers was appointed commercial director late last year and Graeme Parkins switched to a strategic growth director role.
Adam, who joined Dyer Engineering in 2022 as operations director, said: “It’s a great honour to step into the role of managing director at such an exciting time.
“Richard has done an incredible job, and I take the baton from him with a firm eye on continuing his legacy.”
Richard added: “The company has come a long way and I’m confident Adam, with his deep operational experience, will continue to lead it to further success.”
Finance director Laurence Provost and business improvement director Richard Larder complete the executive board at the business, which runs sites in Annfield Plain and Harelaw, near Stanley.
