Honey sweet after backing for £50 million scheme

A housebuilder is pressing ahead with a £50 million scheme.

Honey has secured planning permission for a 174-property development in Killamarsh, Derbyshire.

Bosses say the estate, known as Aurelle, will include two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.

Work on the scheme, based between Sheffield and Chesterfield, is set to start in March.

Mark Mitchell, chief executive at Sheffield-headquartered Honey, said: “We are very pleased to have received planning permission.

“We look forward to starting work on site and launching the first homes for sale.”

Honey is backed by private equity firm Alchemy Partners and its Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV.

Since its launch in October 2022, the builder has secured 21 sites across Yorkshire and the East Midlands, which it says will deliver 2850 homes.
