Amethyst Homes appoints new quantity surveyor
North East housebuilder Amethyst Homes has strengthened its team with the appointment of Hannah Maurice as quantity surveyor.
Hannah, from Whitley Bay, brings significant industry experience, having worked with both national and regional developers.
In her new role, she will oversee cost estimation, material calculations and project timelines as the company continues to expand.
Hannah said: “I was interested in moving from a large PLC developer to a smaller, regional house builder – like Amethyst – because I find the product and range of sites far more interesting.
“In addition, I feel that as part of a smaller team, you can offer a more personalised customer service to clients and homebuyers.
“Amethyst Homes has a great reputation for building a quality product and has an experienced, close-knit team which is incredibly supportive.
“I look forward to helping the company continue to deliver much needed housing across the region.”
Founded in 2013, Amethyst Homes has grown from a three-person team to a workforce of 28, delivering over 590 homes across the region.
The company is currently developing sites in Consett, South East Northumberland and Newcastle, catering to first-time buyers, families and those seeking affordable bungalows.
Richard Bass, managing director at Amethyst Homes, added: “It is great to have Hannah onboard; she is a welcome addition to our growing team.
“She has a good grounding in the industry and is acutely aware of the current challenges in the market, not least the elongated planning process and supply chain constraints.
“I am confident that Hannah will be able to work closely with our supply chain and partnering organisations to overcome these challenges, enabling us to deliver our high standard of properties to customers in a cost effective and timely manner.”
