New directors at Humber Marine & Renewables

Humber Marine & Renewables has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of David Laister and Emma Lingard as directors.

Both bring extensive communications expertise, supporting the organisation’s strategic direction following a recent funding boost from Maritime UK.

David, PR and media director at Fred Marketing, has a long history with the sector, previously serving on the Grimsby Renewables Partnership board and covering offshore wind as a business journalist.

He said: “It is a pleasure to be involved in an organisation I’ve always had the utmost respect for, having supported the incredible events that bring key Humber businesses and industry leaders together.

“The devolution agenda playing out in 2025 underlines the importance of pan-Humber organisations to the business community, so I’m delighted to be on board.”

Emma joins from Associated British Ports, where she managed corporate communications for the Humber ports.

With a background in journalism and public engagement, she has also worked with Seafish and appeared on national media platforms.

Emma added: “I’m delighted to join Humber Marine & Renewables as a non-executive director.

“The Humber region is at the forefront of the UK's renewable energy revolution, and I’m excited to contribute my expertise to support its vision for sustainable growth and innovation.”

Their appointments come as Humber Marine & Renewables continues its expansion, with plans to appoint a new chair and business development manager to drive its strategic growth.
