Agency targets global growth after ‘strong year’
A Newcastle-based brand agency says it has “big ambitions for 2025” after securing major projects across multiple sectors.
The Unknown Creative is aiming to grow turnover by 25 per cent to £1.25 million within 18 months.
Bosses also say they are looking to “upskill, strengthen and nurture” their existing team, as well as recruit for two new roles.
John Dunne, founder and creative director, said: “2024 was a strong year for us.
“Our team grew by 20 per cent, our client base by 30 per cent, and we saw a 25 per cent revenue increase in specialist international projects across life sciences, biotech, aviation technology and green energy.
“We have big ambitions for 2025, aiming to upskill, strengthen and nurture talent within our team, as well as hiring for two new roles.”
The agency, founded in 2009, has doubled its headcount in the past five years, as well as launching a design school to nurture emerging talent and entering new international markets, particularly in North America.
Recent work includes the launch of biotech product CryoCase with US-based cell and gene therapy firm BioLife Solutions, and creative campaigns for travel technology specialists SITA and beauty franchise Saks.
The team also provides pro bono creative support to Saks to raise funds and awareness for the gynaecological cancers charity The Eve Appeal.
John added: “Since launching The Unknown Creative in 2009, we have worked hard to deliver outstanding creative work, top-tier client service and a legacy of craft, originality and integrity.”
