Gentoo 'boosts service' with depot openings
A housing association has expanded with two depot openings.
Gentoo has cut the ribbon on sites in Hetton and Washington.
Bosses say the property maintenance depots – based at Hetton Lyons Industrial Estate and Glover Industrial Estate, respectively – will “improve operational efficiencies and customer service”.
They add the bases will support Gentoo’s estate services division, with Washington one of the organisation’s largest grass-cutting areas.
Sunderland-headquartered Gentoo worked alongside Building Design Northern, Hall and Partners and MGM Construction on the bases.
Marc Edwards, Gentoo executive director of property, said: “The new and improved depots reflect our dedication to colleagues and customers.
“They will enhance our position to deliver high-quality, efficient maintenance services.”
Ian Avis, MGM Construction operations director, added: “It has been a pleasure to work alongside Gentoo to deliver two new depots.”
