National travel agency grows with new branch
A national travel agent has expanded.
Hays Travel has opened a branch at Dalton Park shopping complex.
The move takes the Sunderland-headquartered firm’s estate to nearly 500 shops.
Its Dalton Park team is led by branch manager David Musson alongside assistant manager Kim Nielsen-Hill, three travel consultants and a foreign exchange consultant.
The branch, based near Murton, County Durham, was opened by Dame Irene Hays, the travel agent’s owner and chair.
She said: “All our new branches are special, but we are particularly excited about this one.
“Dalton Park is an increasingly popular destination, not only for shopping but leisure and eating out, with a cinema and choice of catering outlets for visitors.
“We have a great team in the branch, and I wish them every success.”
Hays Travel’s first branch opened in Seaham, County Durham, in 1980, and continues to trade on the town’s Church Street.
