Award-winning chef joins The Exchange 1856
The Exchange 1856, in North Shields, has appointed award-winning chef Kyle Bowman as executive chef.
Named North East Chef of the Year in 2023, Kyle brings experience from Michelin-starred restaurants, 3 AA rosette establishments, and his recent role as a development chef at Newcastle United Football Club.
At The Exchange 1856, he will lead the kitchen in developing seasonal menus and new dining concepts, further enhancing the venue’s reputation as a cultural and culinary destination.
Kyle said: “I am thrilled to be joining The Exchange 1856, a venue that celebrates both the rich cultural heritage and the thriving food scene of North Shields.
“My goal is to create a menu that not only showcases the best of locally sourced ingredients but also offers an exciting and memorable dining experience for every guest.”
