HBD further expands Birmingham team
HBD, part of Henry Boot, has appointed Steve Gascoyne as project director to support its expanding Birmingham office.
Steve, who joins from Godwin Developments where he was construction director, brings 27 years of experience across various senior roles, including operations director at Mace and associate director at Wakemans.
In addition to supporting Midlands schemes, Steve will contribute to the delivery of Golden Valley in Cheltenham, a major project adjacent to GCHQ central to the UK’s cyber strategy.
Steve’s appointment follows a series of recent hires in the Midlands, including James Walters, Alistair Cockcroft and the promotions of Hannah Voogd and Alex Temple.
HBD is currently leading several large-scale projects in the region, including developments at Markham Vale, in Derbyshire, SPARK, in Walsall, and residential schemes in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter.
Ed Hutchinson, managing director at HBD, said: “Steve is the latest in a series of senior hires within our Birmingham office as we deliver a number of major projects across the region.
“He joins a great team and will play a key role in the delivery of both our Midlands schemes and Golden Valley.”
