Simple Energy Matters grows with FM4U deal
A renewable energy consultancy has expanded with a takeover.
Simple Energy Matters Group has bought FM4U.
Bosses at the Leicester-based firm say the deal for Gateshead facilities management company FM4U will “enhance its ability to deliver comprehensive business solutions”.
They add it will increase annual revenue to more than £10 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, FM4U owners Louise and Mick Common have remained with the business, which provides support across areas including estates, fire and water, electrical, training and cleaning operations.
Jamie Reynolds, Simple Energy Matters Group chief executive, said: “Bringing FM4U into the group is a natural step forward in our mission to provide a complete business solution.
“Their expertise in facilities management aligns perfectly with our energy and workforce solutions, ensuring we continue to offer best-in-class services under one brand.
“We are excited about the opportunities ahead.”
Louise said: “Joining Simple Energy Matters Group is an incredible opportunity to expand our reach and capabilities.
“We look forward to driving FM4U’s growth while continuing to deliver the exceptional facilities management services our clients trust.”
FM4U was advised by Swalwell-based TIG Corporate Finance and Durham law firm Swinburne Maddison.
Barry Gill, of TIG Corporate Finance, added: “The facilities management sector is very attractive and there was significant interest in FM4U.
“Simple Energy Matters Group was a perfect fit.”
