Betts Associates restructures for growth
Betts Associates, a Deeside-based civil and structural engineering consultancy, has appointed Alwin Thompson as non-executive director to support its growth and service expansion plans for the year ahead.
Alwin, with over 25 years of executive management experience, has been instrumental in recommending a restructure of the board.
As part of this change, founder Mel Frimston will assume the new role of chairman, focusing on strategic matters and governance standards.
Meanwhile, Robert Ankers, who has been with the company for 22 years, has been promoted to managing director.
Robert will oversee the business’s operations and ensure its continued success across all areas.
Betts Associates provides engineering services in structural, civil, geo-environmental, and hydroengineering, supporting projects in residential, industrial, commercial and leisure sectors.
Mel said: “I’m incredibly proud of our 29-year history and excited for what lies ahead.
“These changes will serve as a catalyst to strengthen our services for existing clients while driving growth across various sectors.
“We’re building on our success so far and taking the next steps in Betts’ journey.
“It’s been a pleasure to work with Alwin who was appointed for his wealth of experience and track record as well as our shared values on team engagement and client satisfaction.”
