The new service addresses the growing demand for dermatologic treatment and will work closely with other departments, including diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and neurology, to provide comprehensive care.
Eleanor will manage patients with complex skin and ear conditions, such as atopic dermatitis and autoimmune diseases, while collaborating with owners and referring vets.
Eleanor, who is an RCVS-recognised specialist and European diplomate in dermatology, said: “The launch of a dermatology service at NWVS is very exciting and our combination of expertise, experience and technology will enable us to achieve rapid and accurate diagnoses.
“This is essential for selecting the most appropriate therapy for each individual case and ensuring we deliver the best possible care.
“The new dermatology service will also benefit from collaboration with the diagnostic imaging and internal medicine services at the hospital to address potential underlying causes of more complex dermatology cases.
“Our in-house specialists in soft tissue surgery allows for the surgical management of appropriate cases too, so I am very much looking forward to working in such a high-quality, multidisciplinary, specialist-led environment.”

“Her expertise will help us launch a service will further improve our ability to offer a holistic service for all the pets which need our care.
“It’s a service we’re sure will be successful and we will look to grow in future as it develops.”
