Muse appoints new managing director
Nationwide placemaker Muse has appointed Simon Harding-Roots as managing director in its South office.
Simon will lead Muse’s southern operations, focusing on driving growth and expanding partnerships for sustainable regeneration.
Previously, Simon was managing director for London at The Crown Estate, overseeing a portfolio of 10 million sq ft worth £8 billion, including major projects valued at £2.5 billion.
He also held senior roles at Grosvenor Group, Imperial College London and Treasury Holdings Group.
Joining Muse on March 31, Simon will work closely with public and private sector partners to advance mixed-use regeneration projects, including the Manor Road Quarter in Canning Town, London, which will deliver over 800 new homes with 50 per cent affordable housing.
Simon said: “I’m thrilled to be joining a company with a proven track record of delivering much-needed housing within vibrant, mixed-use neighbourhoods.
“The commitment to partnering with true enablers, being solution focussed, and creating exemplary places that are inclusive and welcome all deeply resonates with me.
“I share this passion and am excited for the opportunity to lead the Southern team in delivering meaningful, long-term regeneration where it’s needed most.”
Phil Mayall, managing director at Muse, added: “Simon joins us with significant experience delivering complex and impactful regeneration.
“His pedigree, working across London and the South, will help drive our growth in the region and support established and emerging delivery partnerships.
“We also see ECF and Habiko playing an important role across London and the South.
“Simon is well placed to enable the expansion these critical national partnerships, creating high-quality new places which deliver the homes, retail, and public spaces communities deserve.”
