Study Group finds historic new home in Leeds
An office letting in central Leeds will see international students placed at the heart of the city.
Property consultancy Knight Frank and Fisher German LLP have brokered a 19,000sq ft lease at 8 Park Row for global education provider Study Group.
Bosses say the deal will relocate the Leeds International Study Centre (ISC) to the city centre.
The ISC, marking its tenth anniversary, prepares international students for undergraduate courses at the University of Leeds, offering pathway programmes for students from 95 countries.
July Behl, Study Group chief partnerships officer, said: “We are extremely proud to work with such a prestigious institution and our investment into the exceptional facilities at 8 Park Row is a statement of what this partnership means to us and how much we are committed to continuing to provide world-class international education.
“The quality of the building, its location and architecture mean we can provide a seamless campus experience to our students and provide them with the best possible environment for them to succeed and go on to do great things.”
The move follows a major refurbishment of 8 Park Row, which was originally home to Beckett Bank, Leeds’ first bank that dates back to 1867.
Eamon Fox, partner and head of development at the Leeds office of Knight Frank, added: “This letting is a ringing endorsement of the quality of 8 Park Row, one of the most elegant buildings within the professional core of Leeds.
“A comprehensive refurbishment inside has created an attractive contemporary office environment, while retaining the best original features.”
