Greenfield House, in Alloa
Procast Group has secured a deal to renovate Alloa's Greenfield House

Firm secures £1 million manor house revamp work

A contractor has secured £1 million work to transform a derelict manor house.

Procast Group is set to work on Greenfield House, in Alloa.

Bosses say the 13-month project will “restore the stunning venue to past glories”.

Work on the Greenfield Park-based site – which has lain empty for eight years – will be delivered in two phases, with improvements to roofing, glazing and guttering followed by damp, dry rot and plaster repairs.

Procast Group is partnering with Clackmannanshire Council on the project, with local authority bosses set to decide on its future use once renovation work is complete.

Derek Innes, owner and managing director of Hamilton-based Procast Group, said: “We are excited to start work on this fantastic heritage building, which has stood in the centre of Alloa for more than 130 years.

“Hopefully, come the end of this initial project, we are able to continue with the works to bring this cultural landmark back up to scratch and maintain its prominence in the town for another century.”
