Jorvik Tricycles gears up with new showroom plan

An electric tricycle firm has unveiled expansion plans.

Jorvik Tricycles is set to open a second showroom and indoor test track.

The York-based company says the move will boost its presence in the south of England.

The blueprint comes after the business recorded annual turnover of £3.2 million, with bosses revealing they will support a 15 per cent growth target across 2025.

James Walker, managing director of Jorvik Tricycles, who founded the business in his living room a decade ago, said the “big plans” will build on the company’s “exceptional journey”.

He said: “From starting as a passion project to help my father in his battle with Parkinson’s, the growth and interest from the public has been greater than we ever anticipated.

“It’s been incredible to see first-hand how our tricycles can improve people’s lives and provide them with increased independence.

“As we look forward to the next ten years and our vision for growth, we hope to continue to bring more choice and styles to the market.

“And a second showroom is a huge milestone for us.

“We know people love to try before they buy, and our new showroom will be the perfect space for customers in the south of England to do just that.”

The business’ growth plans are being supported by Matt Lindon, who joined as chief operations officer late last year.

He added: “Jorvik has already had an incredible journey, and I’m looking forward to working with the team to plan and deliver future growth plans.”
