Skincare innovator boosts startups in Durham
A County Durham skincare company is breaking new ground with its pioneering treatments while supporting entrepreneurs in the health and wellbeing sector.
Award-winning Durham Skin Lab, founded by Dr. Mohammad Alansary, specialises in natural treatments for eczema, psoriasis and vitiligo, improving the lives of hundreds.
Now, with backing from Durham University Venture Lab, it is helping startups launch their own skincare products without hefty upfront costs, providing support that covers everything from manufacturing and packaging to distribution.
Entrepreneurs can either use Durham Skin Lab’s products or create their own, depending on their needs.
Operating from Drum Industrial Estate in Chester-le-Street, the company has global reach and plans to support at least ten more startups next year, as well as internships and training for Durham University students.
Dr. Alansary said: “The beauty of what we offer is that we make it possible for entrepreneurs to break into this complex and costly market without the usual financial barriers.
“Our affordable packages remove the hurdles, letting them focus on scaling their business.”
