HBD builds on success with park expansion
A Luton business park is set for growth after plans for a new industrial unit moved forward.
Property developer HBD has secured detailed planning permission for a 50,000sq ft base at Butterfield Business Park.
The 83-acre scheme has already delivered 325,000sq ft of space and is home to the likes of cable provider Shoal Group and wholesaler Eden Farm, with HBD last year granted outline permission for an additional 450,000sq ft extension.
Ed Hutchinson, managing director of HBD, which is part of Sheffield-headquartered Henry Boot, said: “Demand for Grade A industrial space remains consistent across the South, so it’s positive to be able to bring forward a further 50,000sq ft.
“We expect to see strong interest from potential occupiers given its excellent sustainability credentials and its proximity to Luton Airport and the M1.”
The unit will be marketed by Adroit, Cushman & Wakefield and LSH.
HBD has further offices in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, London and Manchester.
