Banks Homes lays foundations in Yarm
A North East housebuilder is expanding into Tees Valley with plans for a development on the edge of Yarm.
Banks Homes has bought a site for The Cornfields, which will feature up to 109 three-to-five-bedroom homes.
The County Durham-based firm, part of the Banks Group, will formally launch the project this spring, with the first homes ready for buyers early next year.
Russ Hall, managing director at Banks Homes, said: “Our mission is to bring together striking design, future-proof sustainability and desirable locations to create a new blueprint for contemporary living.
“This latest site offers the ideal canvas on which we can work to these principles, and it’s especially pleasing we’ll be featuring our high specification contemporary house designs in this fantastic location.
“We’re excited to be bringing the Banks Homes brand to the Tees Valley.”
The scheme marks the company’s third development since its launch two years ago.
Construction is nearing completion at Symeon Court, on the Mount Oswald development in Durham City, while Banks Homes’ first large-scale project, called Cathedral Meadows, in West Rainton, is now welcoming its first residents.
Bosses say the housebuilder will unveil further sites across the North East and Yorkshire in the coming months.
