New workspace coordinator joins UKSE team
Christine Tranter has joined UKSE as a workspace coordinator, supporting new and growing businesses at the Innovation Centres in Hartlepool and Redcar.
Christine, from New Marske, is responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the centres and providing assistance to around 100 business tenants.
After a brief agency role, she was offered a permanent position with UKSE, the Tata Steel business-support subsidiary.
She said: “I really enjoy the fact that no day is the same.
“As well as making sure everything at the centres runs well so tenants are free to concentrate on their own businesses we are on-site to deal with any queries they may have.
“Our tenants are involved in many different sectors from engineering, architecture, occupational health, freight and construction to training, saddlery, software and design, so it is always busy and interesting.
The Innovation Centres offer flexible workspaces with a range of office sizes, 24-hour access, meeting rooms, a reception area, free parking and a gym.
Sarah Thorpe, UKSE’s regional manager, added: “The cost-effective managed workspace we offer at our Innovation Centres is an important part of our business support, alongside our investment packages of up to £1 million.
“Our workspace co-ordinators play a vital part in keeping the centres running smoothly so we were delighted when Christine chose to join us and hope she will be very happy in her new role.”
