SevenCapital appoints new directors
Real estate investment and development company SevenCapital has appointed James Moody as chief operating officer and Rebecca Thomson as group sales director to oversee its £1 billion expansion into the London residential market.
James, previously managing director (Europe) at MARK, will lead operations, design and delivery for the group’s London developments.
He brings extensive experience from roles at Redrow, Crest Nicholson, and MARK, SevenCapital’s joint venture partner.
James said: “I am delighted to be joining SevenCapital at such an exciting time for the business as it expands into the London market and undertakes a series of premium developments.
“Our expansion strategy in the capital is focused on designing, creating and delivering wonderful new homes and spaces over a select number of high-quality developments.
“Later in 2025 we will launch 100 Kensington our first highly anticipated London development.”
Rebecca joins from Camrose London and has held senior sales roles at Crest Nicholson, CALA Homes and Fairview.
She will drive sales strategy across SevenCapital’s growing London pipeline.
Rebecca added: “I am pleased to be working alongside James Moody, Damien Siviter and the senior team at SevenCapital.
“The creation of the new London portfolio needs a highly considered approach as each scheme is unique and needs to be tailored for its location, the product focused on offering buyers highly distinctive homes with a premium specification, exceptional quality and outstanding bespoke design.”
SevenCapital’s London expansion includes three major projects: 100 Kensington (£500 million GDV), launching in 2025 with 462 homes; Klein’s Wharf in the Isle of Dogs (£290 million GDV) with 375 homes; and Archway Campus in Islington (£210 million GDV) with 178 homes, over 50 per cent of which will be affordable.
The firm also plans to deliver over 10,000 new homes across the UK in the next five to seven years.
Damien Siviter, group managing director of SevenCapital, added: “We are delighted to welcome James Moody and Rebecca Thomson to our team of directors.
“Their substantial development and sales expertise in the London market will help to drive our expansion plans in the capital.
“James and Rebecca form part of a dedicated senior team we have established to oversee our new London projects, working alongside award winning architects and designers who SevenCapital are collaborating with to create a bespoke premium product for the highly discerning market in the capital.
“Robustly planned and designed our new London developments will benefit from our exemplary track record with over 15 years of continuous deliverance.”
