Final countdown for music venue survival
A much-loved Stockton-on-Tees music venue is making a last-ditch effort to secure its future.
With just two weeks left in its crowdfunding campaign, NE Volume Music Bar is racing to raise £8,000 to cover rising energy costs, essential repairs and equipment upgrades.
Since opening in 2020, the venue has been a vital hub for live music, but without the necessary funds, its future hangs in the balance.
Lee Allcock, co-owner of NE Volume Music Bar, said: “It’s a tough road ahead.
“As bar sales alone can’t cover our costs, we’re turning to you – the community that’s supported us from the start.
“If we don’t hit our target, we could face the heartbreaking reality of having to close our doors, joining the many venues that have already been forced to shut.
“This venue has been a vital part of our community, and every penny raised will go directly towards keeping NE Volume open as well as upgrading essential equipment, improving the experience for our guests and ensuring the venue’s long-term survival.”
Supporters can donate, claim rewards such as gig passes, or simply help spread the word, as NE Volume calls on the community to rally and ensure the venue continues to be a beacon of live music for years to come.
