Nominations and Applications Open for 2025 Entrepreneurial Awards
The Entrepreneurs’ Forum is once again celebrating the North East’s boldest and brightest business talent as nominations and applications open for its 2025 Entrepreneurial Awards.
Taking place on Thursday 18th September at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, the awards shine a spotlight on the trailblazers, pioneers and innovators driving the region forward. This year, the awards are proudly supported by UMi and Maven.
Following the successful revamp in 2024, the Entrepreneurs' Forum will continue to honour exceptional entrepreneurs across five dynamic categories including One to Watch, Impact Award, Caroline Theobald Award, Entrepreneur of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.
One to Watch celebrates emerging entrepreneurs with the potential to make a significant impact, those building businesses with exceptional promise while making a positive difference in the region. The Impact Award recognises entrepreneurs leading resilient, inclusive businesses that contribute to the North East by meeting one or more of the United Nations Sustainability Goals, driving both business success and meaningful social or environmental change.
Chosen by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum board, the Caroline Theobald Award acknowledges entrepreneurs who actively support and champion entrepreneurship, giving their time to inspire, mentor and empower others.
Entrepreneur of the Year is awarded to an individual demonstrating remarkable resilience and leadership in driving a high-growth business while making a substantial economic contribution to the region. Lastly, Lifetime Achievement is also chosen by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum board and kept a closely guarded secret until the awards evening, honours a business leader whose long-term dedication has made a profound and lasting impact on the regional economy.
The simplified application process remains, allowing entrants to submit through video, images or short-form text. Any North East entrepreneur can apply or nominate someone deserving of recognition – membership of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum is not required.
Elaine Stroud, CEO of the Entrepreneurs' Forum, said: “Our region is brimming with exceptional entrepreneurial talent and our awards celebrate those who are making waves and shaping its future.
“Whether you're scaling a business, making a difference or championing others, there is a category for you. I encourage entrepreneurs from across the North East to apply or nominate someone who deserves the spotlight.”
Nominations for the 2025 Entrepreneurial Awards are open until 5pm on Wednesday 30th April with applications closing at 5pm on Friday 30th May. Both can be submitted online via the Entrepreneurs' Forum website.
