DJH 'springboards into South' with McBrides deal
An accountancy and professional services group has expanded with an acquisition.
DJH has added McBrides Chartered Accountants to its portfolio.
Bosses say the deal “springboards” DJH – which has offices across the North of England – into London and the South.
Under the terms of the agreement, existing McBrides managing partner Tanya Hamilton will continue leading the business with its partner team.
Officials say the expanded group will tap into the expertise of Bexley-based McBrides in supporting professional services and law firms, property businesses, shipping companies and UK subsidiaries of international firms.
They add Tenzing-backed DJH, which employs nearly 600 staff and counts Leeds and Manchester bases among its offices, will provide access to teams across areas including research and development tax credits, capital allowances, commercial funding, HR and IT.
Scott Heath, DJH chief executive, said: “It has always been our aspiration to have a substantial office in the South, and the partnership with McBrides gives us an immediate presence in the region.
“Together, we are edging closer to moving into the top 20 accountancy firms in the UK.”
Tanya added: “Joining DJH is a major milestone in our journey.
“It provides an opportunity to strengthen our services, giving new and exciting opportunities for further growth, while also delivering more investment in technology as well as the training, recruitment and wellbeing of our team.”
DJH has further offices in Altrincham, Bury, Chester, Derby, Huddersfield, Nantwich, Sheffield, Stoke and Walsall.
