Homebuyers sold on online auction service
A new online property auction service is proving popular with homebuyers.
Launched by independent estate agent Dacre, Son & Hartley in partnership with iamsold, part of Newcastle-headquartered property consultant iamproperty Group, the service allows buyers and sellers to bid on homes 24/7 via the estate agent’s website.
Since launching six weeks ago, several homes have been sold through the new service, with the platform combining the benefits of traditional auctions with the convenience of online bidding, offering a modern approach to property sales across Yorkshire.
Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacre, Son & Hartley, which has 18 offices in West and North Yorkshire, said: “We’re delighted to agree these initial sales within weeks of launching this new service, all of which sold for over their starting prices.
“As a result of this early success, we already have ten further properties for sale or launching using the Modern Method of Auction.
“The service specifically appeals to buyers who are financially committed and want to act quickly and decisively, which reduces the chance of the sale falling through.”
