Anwyl bolsters Lancashire technical team
Anwyl Homes Lancashire has expanded its technical team with three new appointments to support business growth across the region.
Duncan Hambley joins as architectural technician, Kerry Heaton as assistant architectural technician and Daniel Cunliffe as development engineer.
All three will be based at Anwyl’s regional head office in Buckshaw Village, Chorley.
Duncan said: “My role with Anwyl includes creating working drawings for different stages of a development; co-ordinating supplier and consultant information and ensuring all drawings comply with NHBC standards and building regulations.
“My previous housebuilder experience was in retirement living, largely dealing with one medium-sized apartment block per site, so one of the challenges is adapting to how a traditional housebuilder operates.”
Kerry added: “Working directly for a developer is new to me; each day is different and I’m learning new things.
“I work with the architectural technicians, creating working drawings for different stages, tender and construction drawings.
“It’s an exciting time to join the team as a number of new sites are starting and I’m looking forward to seeing how the process works from the start.”
Their arrival follows the acquisition of new sites in Haydock, Ingol and Warrington, where Anwyl plans to deliver 435 new homes.
John Grime, managing director of Anwyl Homes Lancashire, added: “Job creation is just one of the economic benefits of housebuilding – we also invest in communities to support the growth of neighbourhoods.
“We’ve expanded our technical team to ensure we have a skilled workforce to help navigate new sites through the planning process and beyond.
“This will enable us to adapt to the Future Homes Standard, while contributing to the government’s housing targets by providing the homes people need.
“We’re actively in the market for land with development potential across the North West, including in Lancashire, Greater Manchester, the Liverpool City Region and parts of Cheshire, to support the continued growth of the business.”
