College awarded ‘game-changing’ investment
A West Midlands further education provider is set to upgrade its campus after securing Government funding.
Coventry College has been granted more than £1.35 million through the Government’s Plan for Change, part of a wider £302 million investment in colleges across England.
Officials say the funding will support urgent repairs and modernisation of facilities.
They add the college will prioritise projects with the biggest impact on learners, particularly in sectors like construction, engineering and green technology.
Gemma Knott, Coventry College’s vice principal for business growth, engagement and partnerships, said: “This is a game-changer for Coventry College.
“We are delighted to receive this funding, which will enable us to repair key areas of our campus and invest in safe, modern and accessible learning spaces that match the ambition of our learners and the needs of local employers.”
The news follows the college’s recent 'Good' Ofsted rating.
