Procast expands reach with new Dumfries base
A Hamilton-based contractor is boosting its presence across Scotland with a new base.
Procast Group has launched a £30,000 warehouse and office on the Maxwelltown Industrial Estate, in Dumfries, aiming to extend its reach in the South of Scotland.
Managed by Scott Kane and eight contractors, bosses say the facility’s location near the A75 Dumfries bypass will position Procast to serve both local areas and the Borders.
Procast, which employs more than 130 staff, is also involved in projects with Loreburn Housing Association across locations such as Annan and Stranraer, with future expansion plans in Angus.
Derek Innes, owner and managing director, said: “Having a base in the South of Scotland is imperative to business growth, and we are delighted to be set up in the community of Dumfries.
“We hope to advance projects in the area, working with local people, with aims to expand further across the UK into England.
“Scott and the team are doing a magnificent job at the new base as we increase our reach to communities that need our support most.”
