Shake out run to promote connection
A North East fitness initiative is aiming to combat loneliness and build a supportive community through movement.
Washington-based Training Club has announced the launch of its Official Shake Out Run on Saturday, May 3, welcoming all levels of fitness.
Participants can join in a relaxed 5K run, regardless of whether they are marathon-ready or simply looking for a good time.
The event, sponsored by Puresport, promises to be a space where people – especially men –can feel seen and supported.
Starting off at 9:00am at Spillers Car Park on the Quayside, runners will finish at Cake Stories in Hoults Yard to refuel with coffee and refreshments.
