RMT strengthens healthcare team
RMT Accountants & Business Advisors has appointed Shannon Mellish as healthcare accounts senior as it continues to grow its specialist healthcare division.
Shannon, who has nearly a decade of industry experience, will support healthcare businesses and practitioners across the UK.
Originally from Yorkshire, she studied mathematics at York University before moving to the North East.
Shannon said: “Healthcare is a sector that’s always interested me and I felt that the accountancy experience I’d gained through my career so far would be very relevant to the role.
“I’d heard good things about RMT during my time in the North East and really liked the people that I met when I came for interview.
“There’s a lot of specialist knowledge to pick up, but I’m working with a very supportive and experienced team and enjoying getting to meet and work with my new clients.”
Gosforth-based RMT Healthcare, part of the Sumer Group, acts for over 1000 medical professionals and has the largest dedicated specialist team outside London.
Maxine Pott, director at RMT Healthcare, added: “Shannon’s expertise and enthusiasm make her a valuable addition to our growing team and will help us meet the increasing demand for our services that we’re seeing from new and existing healthcare clients.”
