LeoVegas deal a safe bet for Leeds
A Leeds-based property consultancy is supporting the expansion of a global betting giant as it secures new office space in the city centre.
Carter Towler is assisting LeoVegas Group, part of MGM Resorts, with its move to Tailor’s Corner, a Grade A office building on Wellington Street.
The relocation adds to the Swedish betting and gaming giants UK headquarters in Newcastle and marks a strategic step in its growth plans.
Tailor’s Corner, formerly the headquarters of Hepworth Tailors, recently underwent a £5 million refurbishment and offers modern workspace just minutes from Leeds Station.
Only two suites now remain available following LeoVegas’ move.
James Jackson, office agent at Carter Towler, said: “LeoVegas Group is an award-winning, dynamic international gaming group and we are thrilled they have chosen such exceptional office space in central Leeds to continue their growth.
“They have taken the entire ground and lower ground floors of Tailor’s Corner, totalling over 5,000sq ft.
“The fit out of the offices is already underway and is scheduled for completion this summer, with the team creating a vibrant and dynamic working environment which includes high quality collaboration, meeting and amenity spaces.”
Zoe Wood, asset manager at Boultbee Brooks Real Estate, owners of the property, added: “As developers, we are passionate about revitalising buildings and giving them new purpose.
“Tailor’s Corner is a prime example of this, and it’s incredibly satisfying to see a forward-thinking company like LeoVegas Group establish its Leeds office here.
“In addition to its rich history, the building will now help create new job opportunities for the city.”
