EMED Group drives on with building deals
A health sector transport firm is driving ahead after securing a quartet of building deals.
EMED Group has moved into bases across Sussex.
Bosses say the sites will act as central hubs as EMED Group rolls out a ten-year NHS deal to move non-emergency patients across the county.
The business was supported by property consultancy Vail Williams to secure the sites, which cover a combined 68,000sq ft and include Panattoni Park, in Burgess Hill, and Swallow Business Park, in Hailsham.
EMED Group’s portfolio has also been boosted by units at Lineside, in Littlehampton, and Chichester Business Park.
Geoff Fallon, Vail Williams’ partner, said: “We originally worked towards leasing three properties for EMED Group, but ended up securing four, to enable them to house their ambulances and other vehicles at strategic locations.
“We worked very closely with our client and lawyers to overcome snags and obstacles, which naturally occur in a process as complex, challenging and time-restricted as this one.”
Darren Henderson, EMED Group head of procurement and contracts, added: “Geoff and his team have come up trumps for us.
“Panattoni Park is the ideal solution for our current needs, and our sites in Burgess Hill, Chichester, Hailsham and Littlehampton will ensure patients will receive the best possible service.”
