Double promotion at Baines Jewitt
Two rising professionals have been promoted to associate director roles at Teesside accountancy firm Baines Jewitt.
Grace Stobbs, of Ingleby Barwick, and Jemma Hoggard, of Darlington, have both stepped into senior positions as the firm plans for the future.
Grace joined the firm in 2017 after graduating from Durham University with a degree in accounting and finance.
She qualified as a chartered accountant in 2020 after completing a three-year training programme with the ICAEW.
Jemma took a vocational route, qualifying as a chartered accountant in 2009 and joining Baines Jewitt in 2015.
A registered statutory auditor since 2023, she has now taken on a more strategic role while continuing to manage and approve client audits.
Don Adams, director of Baines Jewitt, said: “As well as focusing on the importance of day-to-day tasks, we recognise the significance of looking to the future through strategic decision making and succession planning.
“This means we can keep things running smoothly by transferring knowledge, developing new skills and rewarding emerging talent.
“Grace and Jemma are prime examples of this.
“Both have built a wealth of expertise which is valued by colleagues and clients alike.”
