Vesuvius demand 'set to erupt' after £2 million work

A civil engineer has completed £2 million work to push forward an industrial park scheme.

Caddick Civil Engineering has extended a spine road, built a roundabout and delivered utilities connections at Vesuvius, in Worksop.

Bosses at development and investment company CEG say the work has opened up the next phase of the 45-acre brownfield site, with a deal already agreed with Admirals Yard Self Storage to open a base on the estate.

The park already includes a 70,000sq ft ASDA supermarket, a Travis Perkins depot, a £3.4 million Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue station and a Burger King restaurant.

Additional units have been leased to Kitchen Craft, Escape Hot Tubs, Rother Valley Optics, electric vehicle charging firm Powerpoint and Shark Eye.

Antonia Martin Wright, CEG director of commercial development, said: “The works have opened up access to the next site, providing serviced and development-ready plots.

“We’ve received a number of enquiries, and expect to announce further new occupiers this year.”

DTRE and FHP have been appointed as agents to market the site.

Rob Kos, DTRE associate partner, added: “We have seen an uptick in enquires and are having some positive discussions with occupiers and purchasers.

“This is likely to continue given the lack of open storage and development plots in the area.”
