Salix Homes appoints executive director
Salford housing association Salix Homes has appointed Sarah Henderson as the new executive director of business services and improvement.
With 18 years at the organisation, Sarah will oversee business transformation, operational performance and data and insight.
Previously director of people and inclusion, Sarah has been a key driver of cultural and strategic change since joining Salix in 2007.
In her new role, she will manage people services, health and safety, marketing and communications, ICT, cyber security, customer insight and colleague culture.
Sarah said: “I’m incredibly proud to continue my journey with Salix Homes as part of the executive management team.
“Having spent the majority of my career here, I’ve seen the organisation evolve and grow, and I’m looking forward to playing a part in its next chapter.
“This is a pivotal moment for Salix Homes as we develop and deliver our next corporate plan for 2025 and beyond.
“I’m excited to draw upon my experience to help drive forward our ambitions for innovation, transformation and continuous improvement, always keeping our people, both customers and colleagues, at the heart of everything we do – from shaping our culture to improving how we work and the services we provide.”
Sarah’s appointment is part of a leadership transition at Salix Homes, following Liam Turner’s appointment as chief executive and the recruitment for a new executive director of customer and landlord services.
Liam added: “Sarah brings a wealth of experience, a strong connection to our values and a deep understanding of our people and purpose.
“As we look to the future, Sarah’s leadership will help us build on the strong progress we’ve made, bringing both continuity and fresh perspectives.
“Her appointment reinforces our commitment to stability while ensuring we continue to innovate, improve our services and stay focused on what matters most to our customers, colleagues and communities.”
